Savencia Fromage & Dairy is known for constantly upping its prowess in the dairy arena, and today's update is no different. The dairy provider recently unveiled its acquisition of Sucesores de Alfredo Williner, a major player in dairy products in Argentina.
"This acquisition strengthens Savencia Fromage & Dairy's presence in Argentina, where the Group is established with its heritage and local brands Milkaut, Santa Rosa, and Adler," said Olivier Delaméa, General Manager of Savencia Fromage & Dairy.
Through this acquisition, Savencia has enriched its portfolio with Ilolay, a major local dairy brand that has been present in most Argentinean households for decades. As a press release explained, the beloved brand offers a wide range of dairy products through a network of distribution well-established throughout the country.
"We have enjoyed a privileged relationship with Savencia for many years and share the same values, those of family companies with strong local roots," added Alfredo Williner, President of Williner. "We are delighted that the Ilolay range will complement Savencia's portfolio of well-known brands."
The Williner family company was founded in 1928 and has since grown into a major market player. With a commitment to quality, the provider collects high-quality milk for its manufacturing plants located in the dairy province of Santa Fe, serving as one of the main milk collectors and dairy basins in Argentina.
As the release noted, this newly announced operation is subject to the approval of the antitrust authorities in accordance with local regulations.
As more brands implement critical strategies to accelerate their growth, DMN will be here to report.
