A bevy of new offerings have hit the meat sector for consumers looking for poultry. ShopRite has revealed the launch of its new, natural Bowl & Basket™ Fresh Chicken line, which presents shoppers with over two dozen different kinds of high-quality chicken products.
“We’re excited to launch this new product in our stores and build on our long tradition of offering our customers fresh, high-quality poultry at amazing prices,” said Roger Savoia, Vice President of the meat division. “We’re confident that this new line of chicken will become the new anchor brand of our fresh poultry portfolio.”
The new line, which is now available at ShopRite locations in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware, offers high-quality chicken breasts, thighs, fillets, wings, and drumsticks while meeting heightened demand for transparency and sustainability. This launch marks a significant expansion of the grocer’s private-label poultry offerings in its fresh meats division, as noted in a press release.
“Years in the making, the Bowl & Basket Fresh Chicken line will provide our customers with an easy, affordable way to create fast, tasty, and healthy meals that they can feel good about serving their families,” said Pam Ofri, Director of Product Development and Operations, Own Brands at ShopRite. “We have listened carefully to our customers, and we know they want high-quality items at the best possible value—and we’re committed to delivering on that promise.”
The new brand launch will be supported by a robust omnichannel marketing campaign, which will give shoppers additional guidance on meal planning, cooking tips, and recipes, all hosted by ShopRite’s skillful dietitians across multiple social media platforms. In addition, celebrity chefs Palak and Josh Capon have also joined forces with the retailer to generate buzz amongst consumers.
We here at Deli Market News are aware of how private labels affect suppliers and the industry and will keep an eye on the developments to come.
