SpartanNash Announces Promotion of Adrienne Chance to Senior Vice President, Communications; Tony Sarsam Comments


GRAND RAPIDS, MI

SpartanNash’s executive ring has just undergone another transition, this time with the promotion of a key leader. Vice President of Communications Adrienne Chance has led critical advancements for the retailer for nearly a year, and is now stepping up to man the helm as Senior Vice President, Communications.

Adrienne Chance, Senior Vice President, Communications, SpartanNashIn April 2021, Chance joined the SpartanNash executive team as Vice President of Communications. She currently leads the vision, strategy, and implementation of the company’s approach to purpose-driven internal and external communications, in addition to serving as Executive Director of the SpartanNash Foundation, as noted in a press release.

Prior to joining SpartanNash, Chance served as Senior Director of Corporate Communications for Dallas-based Borden Dairy Company. She was recognized in 2017 as a Top Woman in PR by PR News for her role as Director of Corporate Communications for Topgolf Entertainment Group, and in 2021, she was honored as a “40 Under 40” leader by the Public Relations Society of America’s Dallas chapter and as a “Woman of Influence.”

Chance is credited for playing a vital role in SpartanNash’s recent growth and development, helping to lead the implementation and rollout of its new corporate identity, Our Winning Recipe. In addition, she has also supported the retailer’s Board of Directors to develop a more robust strategy for environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives; established new channels for communication for Associates, business partners, and other key stakeholders; and led fundraising and disaster response for the company’s community partners, as noted in the release.

In addition to her vast industry experience, Chance is also a graduate of the University of Florida.
