Specialty Food Association Announces New Elected Class of Board Members; Laura Lozada Comments


NEW YORK CITY, NY

The Specialty Food Association (SFA) is welcoming new faces galore as it has elected its latest group of Board Members. Recently, the association voted for its latest Board of Directors, with the results announced at the Annual Member Meeting on June 28.

Laura Lozada, Vice President of Membership, Specialty Food Association“The SFA takes pride in engaging the wisdom and expertise of our members,” commented Laura Lozada, the Vice President of Membership for the association. “Voter turnout was robust around a fair process that creates more opportunity, with a balanced Board and a volunteer slate.”

Each General Member company was allowed to cast one vote, and voting was conducted online, a release explained. The new Board Members will serve a three-year term spanning from July 2022–June 2025.

SFA’s newly elected Class of 2025 Board Members are:

  • Jill Giacomini Basch – Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese
  • Julie Busha – Slawsa
  • Nona Lim – Nona Lim
  • Victoria Ho – Sherpa CPG
  • Jon Pruden – TASTE Family of Businesses

Scott Jensen of Rhythm Superfoods was also appointed to a one-year term to fill a vacancy.

Additionally, more than 70 additional volunteers were announced for five Industry Work Groups, which encompass In-Person Events, Preparedness, Community (Buyer Relations), Digital Offerings, and Recognition, and also five committees, DEI, Distributor, Finance, Governance, and Membership.
