A couple promotions are on the books for Kelly Quigley and Joe Mailhot, as they step into their new roles at Tops Friendly Markets. The retailer recently announced Kelly Quigley’s latest promotion as the newest Director of Distribution and Joe Mailhot to Manager, Bakery Merchandising.
Quigley previously held the title of Director of Warehouse Operations, a role she has had since 2021. According to a press release, her new role as Director of Distribution will include the responsibilities of overseeing warehouse operations in grocery, frozen, and perishable, as well as transportation functions.
She will also be responsible for a variety of other tasks, such as developing and implementing initiatives to enhance associate morale, team performance in the execution of optimum store service, and delivery of results in key financial metrics. These include staffing, selection/receiving accuracy, and throughput. In addition, Quigley will work to improve the supply chain and efficiency of the stores.
Quigley is a graduate of the University of Buffalo with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Math.
Next on the list is Mailhot, as he takes on his new Manager role.
In his new role, Mailhot will be responsible for overseeing, executing, and managing all aspects of In-store Bakery Merchandising. He will also manage product quality, mix, cost, programming, in-store presentation, warehouse inventory levels, product allocations, promotional activity, and sales/margin.
As noted in a separate release, Mailhot joined Tops Markets in 1990 as a Stock Clerk/Cashier and has held various positions including Non-Perishable Operations Manager, Perishable Operations Manager, and Assistant Store Manager before being promoted to Store Manager in 2008. He managed six different locations across a 10-year stint in the Western Region before being promoted to Category Business Manager of Center Store in 2018.
Mailhot holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Phoenix in Arizona.
