Catching up with our industry friends is always a highlight for us here at the Deli Market News office, but the excitement of new products is equally alluring. Trugman-Nash’s Old Croc booth did not disappoint, as Ken Meyers, Chief Executive Officer, unveiled all that is new for the Aussie brand.
“Throughout our brand, we’re bringing a new tagline and a new branding positioning of ‘For the Love of Cheddar,’” explained Ken. “And the reason we’re talking about ‘For the Love of Cheddar’ is we realize that these Cheddars that we make are really old-world-heritage Cheddars.”
The cheesemaker’s Croc Bites, part of its snacking line of cheeses, are sporting a redeveloped package featuring croc skin to tie back to the Australian heritage.
Joining the fresh packaging and tagline is a new line: British Organic Dairy Company.
“We’re trying to import the taste, the quality, the texture that these are real proper Cheddars. And you’ll see, not only do we have a proper Cheddar in our Old Croc line, but you’ll see we also have a proper Cheddar as well in our new British Organic Dairy Company line that is made very similarly in the U.K. in the home of Cheddar—Somerset, England,” continued Ken.
