I'm always on the hunt for better snacking options, and let me tell you, I will eat all of the cheese and meat combinations you put in front of me. So, you know I was excited to talk to Volpi Food's John Gruender, Chief Customer Officer, about its prosciutto snacking options.
"Our heritage breed is [...] actually aged for 18 months in a small farm in rural Missouri. These are a vegetarian-fed breed of pork and, again, is aged longer, so you get a much different taste with this product," John explained to me.
He also went on to discuss the latest extensions of the company's popular Roltini line.
"We have rolled out a five-pack roltini, which is now in a retail size pack, and is an addition to the single-serves that we have," he said. "The first item launching in this category is the mozzarella with prosciutto. And the last item is a new line extension, the Oaxaca Chorizo. This is a really unique flavor in the marketplace."
As unique flavors continue to abound at retail, I'm sure this one is a definite way to stand out!
