Sasquatches just want to have fun? Jack Link’s says yes, as the company has announced a new collection of 80s themed workout videos that even Cyndi Lauper would stretch a muscle to. Each video showcases the brute training power and protein-packed strength of the Jack Link’s Sasquatch, partnered with NFL stars Clay Matthews and Odell Beckham Jr.
"The world has witnessed Sasquatch's superior, protein-powered strength over the last 10 years and it's time to take him one step further, bringing together world-class athletes and the world's best protein-packed jerky. Our new integrated campaign, Workin' Out with Sasquatch, shows how Jack Link's Jerky can help you achieve ultimate musclefulness," said TD Dixon, Chief Marketing Officer at Jack Link's. "Clay Matthews and Odell Beckham Jr. are beasts on the field and in the gym, perfectly complementing our own man-beast, Sasquatch. Together they emphasize that Jack Link's Jerky is the protein-packed snack packed with protein–nothing can beat it."
The fully-integrated campaign, according to a press release, hits every muscle group, for the best sweatband-worthy physique. Sasquatch leads the workout pack throughout the 80s thrillers for the ultimate jerky-powered physical prowess, physique, and all with world-famous hair.
"Protein is an important part of every fitness routine," stated Odell Beckham Jr. "To stay fueled, I keep a stash of Jack Link's Jerky in my gym bag so I have a high protein snack on hand for anything that gets thrown at me."
The series of 80s VHS-style videos shows each football star following Sasquatch’s lead toward impressive fitness through workouts such as “Bench,” which shows Clay Matthews doing pike presses, and then swatting at insects before having a full on snack fest of Jack Link’s Jerky.
“Musclefullness” has Odell Beckham Jr. performing a trio of pec-building workouts with Sasquatch, like squirrel chasing, yoga, and salmon thrusts.
"You could say things got hairy on set," said Clay Matthews. "Sasquatch is a tough coach with incredible hair thanks to protein-packed Jack Link's Jerky."
Consumers can continue their Jack Link’s protein love by keeping an eye on social media, as more rare footage is released from the collection.
The full range of marketing campaign videos will be released in 30- and 15-second formats which will run on TV Networks including ESPN, NFL Network, Adult Swim, and Comedy Central. Additional content will be available on Youtube, Hulu, and Deadspin.
