MegaMex Foods recently announced its latest snacking distribution agreements with both Z.T. Distribution, Inc. and Utz Quality Foods. Both partnerships will provids direct store delivery (DSD) service of their CHI-CHI’S® tortilla chips and CHI-CHI’S snacking salsas and dips. Z.T. Distribution will deliver to Wisconsin-based retailers while Utz's agreement extends throughout the Eastern and Southern U.S. The effective date of these agreements is Oct. 1, 2018.

Distribution is yet another step forward in making this vision a reality and will allow even more people the ability to experience authentic Mexican-inspired snacks with our CHI-CHI’S tortilla chips, and CHI-CHI’S snacking salsas and dips.”
Z.T. Distribution, Inc. was founded in 1919, and it is a fourth-generation, family-owned, full-service DSD company to the grocery trade, a press release noted. It services a variety of nonperishable items to major chains and independent grocers throughout Wisconsin including Roundy’s, Woodman’s, Festival, Sendik’s, Piggy Wiggly, and others.
In a separate press release, MegaMex Foods noted that Utz, founded in 1921, is the largest independent, privately held snack brand in the United States. Utz services all classes of trade across the Eastern and Southern United States via its 1,500-plus DSD route system with leading snacking brands including, Utz, Good Health, Bachman, Boulder Canyon, Golden Flake, Zapp’s, and “Dirty” Potato Chip’s.
MegaMex Foods is a joint venture between Hormel Foods and Herdez del Fuerte, and provides many Mexican food brands including CHI-CHI’S®, HERDEZ®, LA VICTORIA®, EMBASA®, DON MIGUEL®, DONA MARIA® and WHOLLY GUACAMOLE® brands.
