“Thin is IN!” 34 Degrees has proclaimed. The company behind 34° Crisps has announced the launch of its Sweet Crisps line, available in resealable pouches that make them a snack lover’s dream. Sweet Crisps are sweet like a cookie, crisp like a cracker, and delight the palate whether accompanied by a topping or straight out of the pouch. The Sweet Crisps line will officially launch at the Specialty Food Association Summer Fancy Food Show June 29th through July 2nd in New York City and is expected to start hitting shelves as soon as this fall.
“Our team is passionate about finding creative ways to share our profound love of food and also grow our business,” said Craig Lieberman, Founder and President. “Our new Sweet Crisps allow us to answer our retailer and fan demands for a snackable way to enjoy our sweet flavors, as well as secure expanded merchandising and distribution opportunities at retail that will accelerate our growth.”
After being introduced in 2017, the original 34° Sweet Crisps were well-loved, according to a press release. The new snack-friendly resealable pouch format now gives consumers a new way to experience the company's treats, as well as invites existing and new retailers to elevate their displays with easy merchandising options.
Sweet snacks have been growing in the consumer space, 34 Degrees said, noting cookies were one of four top snacking categories that delivered dollar and unit sales growth in 2017. Additional studies from IRI’s 2017 State of the Snack Food Industry Report also showed bites, thin cookies, and sweet treats are now more than a $100 million dollar segment.
The Sweet Crisps line will launch in the four following flavors, in both a 4 oz (MSRP $3.49 - $4.49) and 16 oz club size (MSRP $6.99-7.99) resealable pouch.
34 Degrees will have the Sweet Crisps line in tow at booth #674 at Summer Fancy Food Show, so come get in on the trend while its hot.
