Oregon-based Toby’s Family of Foods announced an exciting expansion of its Tofu Spreads & Dips, which will now be available in 141 Safeway and Albertsons stores in Oregon and Southern Washington.
“It’s a reflection of Safeway and Albertson’s commitment to provide locally produced, great tasting, and healthy food to its patrons in both Oregon and Washington,” Sheldon Rubin, Vice President of Toby’s Family Foods, said in a press release.
The retail chains have picked up all four of the following flavors:
The Lite and Lite Jalapeño flavors (vegan options) offer half the fat and calories of their Original and Jalapeño counterparts, according to the company, available as vegetarian options made with mayonnaise instead of a “more” vegan alternative.
Toby’s concluded that the expanded distribution of the dips, which are organic, non-GMO soy, with no preservatives or artificial ingredients, aligns with increased consumer demand for healthier and plant-based protein options.
The company has partnered with DPI Specialty Foods to bring the line to Albertsons and Safeway, which will be offering them at a discounted promotion through October 29th.
Available in 14-ounce recyclable containers, the products will be available at a suggested retail price of $4.99 once the promotion ends.
