Blue Moose of Boulder's Tenley Satre Discusses New Hummus Offerings

As a life-long fan of hummus, I can attest to the fact: fresh, clean ingredients translate into the best possible product—with a bright flavor profile and supple texture.

I recently had the chance to talk to Tenley Satre, President of Blue Moose of Boulder, to find out more about the company’s hummus line and what sets it apart from other snacking options.

Tenley Satre, President, Blue Moose of Boulder“Blue Moose of Boulder is different from all other hummus brands out there because we truly start from scratch,” Tenley shares with me, before diving into the details on how the company ensures this happens. “We begin the process with whole organic garbanzo beans—not pre-cooked garbanzo bean paste.”

And with the company's latest additions to it hummus line, Tenley assures me, Blue Moose is adding on-trend flavors with big-time appeal for hummus-heads and newbies alike.

“We have Lemon Tumeric, Lime and Black Bean, Beet Balsamic, Green Chili—flavors that are unique to the space but are still on trend and have mass appeal,” she tells me.

And, Tenley notes, it's more than all-natural bona fides that draw consumers to Blue Moose’s products; the company's playful branding is a big part of what make its products so appealing.

“There are no cut corners in our process. We use organic extra virgin olive oil, organic lemon juice. We don’t use high heat or preservatives on our products. We keep them fresh with cold pressure, which also helps to maintain the key vitamins and minerals,” Tenley adds.
