I love olives—and when I say “love,” I mean I-cannot-live-without-you L.O.V.E. love. Heck, a small part of my genetic makeup might be made up of actual olives. What can I say? I’m Greek! To make sure the needs of all consumers—Mediterranean or not—are met and that they don’t fall into the pits, Ficacci Olive Company has released its 4.4 oz Doypacks, called Take-Eat. The new grab-and-go options, two shelf-stable and four fresh-chilled, come with convenient and re-sealable packaging.
The goal for the release of these new Take-Eat options, you ask? Giuseppe Ficacci tells me that the company aims to attract customers and their consumers with great value, versatile display options, and impeccable quality—these are the keywords for success, he shares.
“Our claim is ‘Proudly Fresh!’ We offer a dozen varieties of Italian and Greek olives, marinated or plain, never pasteurized. Each SKU features true taste and freshness perceived at the first bite; the olives crunchiness is one of the most appreciated experiences by consumers,” Giuseppe says.
The company doesn’t limit itself to the retail side of business, offering Gastronomia Gourmet for deli counters to bring its robust flavors and assortment to food counters to save time and reduce waste.
“Colors catch the eye of the consumer passing by a Ficacci Display,” Giuseppe explains. “Either for the olive bars or for the pre-packed single servings, our assortment has been studied to propose a balanced and complete assortment both in flavors and colors. The 90 percent transparent packs enhance the range of colors, catching consumers increasing impulsive buying. Quality and freshness activate a planned second purchase.”
These olives are sure to keep consumers coming back for more because the company keeps taste paramount, as it trials new ways to entice the masses.
“Flavor is the best part of our olives, guaranteed and made possible thanks to the craft knowledge distinguishing our family for three generations. Being olive agers is our nature. Each year, we observe the weather—rain and sun are essential for a good season,” he explains, before diving into what creates such powerful flavors. “Sometimes, following our innovation directing, we garnish them with surprising ingredients having new upstanding and trendy recipes.”
As the company continues to evolve to bring the best of its creations to market, it engages with consumers in unique ways, bringing dynamic outlets for fun along the way.
“We support retailers with our Chef’s delicious creations, available on our YouTube channel, which will also be available on a handbook soon for all of the consumers not yet aware of the fact that cooking with olives is easy and delightfully surprising,” Giuseppe shares.
While part of me wants to hoard all of the olives so I can munch on them the rest of my live-long days, ultimately, I am happy to share Ficacci’s incredible offerings because, as my grandmother would ask, what’s good food without an olive or two for good luck?
