Attendees at this year’s IDDBA and Summer Fancy Food Show were treated to a number of product innovations, and among the most exciting categories for growth was, perhaps, hummus. From breakfast to dessert, companies were working to expand the popular category and help retailers capitalize on the healthy possibilities hummus has to offer.
I recently had the opportunity to talk with Susie Black, Field Marketing Manager for Lantana Foods, to discuss the company’s innovative new line of Fruit Hummus.
“…[W]e’re launching a new Fruit Hummus line. We’re very excited about it. Mostly because it tastes delicious, but it’s also very innovative,” Susie told me. “It’s something that hasn’t really been done before.”
With Strawberry in stores now, Lantana is readying to introduce three new flavors—Mango, Blueberry, and Cherry—in mid-September—all with the same healthy properties that Lantana Hummus is known for—gluten-free, non-GMO, kosher, and vegan.
