Alejandro Velez and Nikhil Arora Co-Founders of Back to the Roots joined DeliMarket News to share the latest for the company. The two entrepreneurs let us in on their new 100% stoneground cereal line, its Grow One, Give One campaign, and new environmentally friendly packaging.
“We have this whole new ready-to-eat line of America’s first 100% stoneground breakfast cereals,” Nikhil says. Back to the Roots Ready-to-Eat line includes three varieties, Purple Corn Flakes, Cocoa Clusters, and CA Whole Wheat, as well as Organic Breakfast Toppers.
Beyond the cereal, the company has also been working to expand on their popular Grow One, Give One initiative, which gives a school any of its Ready-to-Grow products, like its Mushroom Farms, any time you post a picture of it on the Back to the Roots Facebook page.
“We got an opportunity to work with the global Sodexo team to launch not only our Grow-At-Home products but our Ready-to-Eat products as well,” Alejandro added. The companies are coming together to provide what Back to the Roots is calling the first 100% compostable cereal bowl along with its stoneground cereal to 2,300 schools in California and Texas.
