St Pierre Shows off its Brioche & Crêpes at IDDBA

MANCHESTER, ENGLAND

Carrs Foods’ St. Pierre French Bakery brand is making its return to IDDBA for its fourth year, after a successful launch into the U.S. market in 2014 that included a national listing in Wal-Mart with its brioche sliced loaf in April this year.

St. Pierre brioche and crêpes seek to capture all the vibrancy of continental living. Brioche is somewhere between bread and cake, enriched with egg, sugar, and crème pâtissière vanilla custard that melts into the pastry and/or chocolate chips for added indulgence.

St. Pierre’s brioche is available in plain and chocolate chip variants, that include sliced brioche loaves for indulgent French Toast, sharing brioche loaves, individual brioche rolls, and brioche swirls that can be eaten as breakfast or as an all-day snack. Also joining the range is the company’s soft brioche burger bun to add a gourmet twist to your hamburger favorites.

Also being offered by St. Pierre are crêpes, delicate pancakes which were originally developed as a regional specialty in Brittany, North West France, according to a press release. Made with a simple recipe of flour, eggs, butter and a pinch of salt, the traditional lace-thin texture of crêpes is particular to France.

St. Pierre crêpes are individually wrapped and are available filled with sweet strawberry jelly or chocolate and hazelnut spread. You can eat the crêpes cold or warmed from the microwave.

The St. Pierre range is shipped to the United States, and delivered frozen, allowing stores to slacken out/defrost on demand for a 28-day shelf life. Made with quality ingredients, the products retain their texture and taste through-out their life, and provide retailers with a unique, gourmet offering. To further assist retailers, St. Pierre is offering display racks to retailers who purchase an agreed amount of stock.

Visit the St. Pierre website for recipes and more ideas, including brioche burger buns with pulled pork and coleslaw, and stop by IDDBA booth #1146 to see them for yourself.
