Technology continues to advance at a rapid pace, and retail giant Amazon is utilizing it to its fullest potential. Amazon Fresh recently opened up a new location in North Riverside, Illinois, featuring its Just Walk Out Shopping technology.
The new North Riverside store is the eighth Amazon Fresh location in the state of Illinois and stands at approximately 40,000 square feet, according to a recent release from the company. Amazon’s newest location also features its Just Walk Out Shopping tech, which allows consumers to skip the checkout line and pay for their items digitally with no effort.
Alongside high-quality meat, seafood, and produce, the new Amazon Fresh location also offers 365 by Whole Foods Market organics in addition to other Amazon-exclusive brands like Aplenty, Cursive, Fresh, and the grocer’s newly released Fresh Plant-Based products. Local brands, regional favorites, and a large selection of prepared foods made fresh in-store will also elevate the retailer’s grocery experience.
With this expansion, Amazon will be supporting the community of North Riverside by creating hundreds of high-quality jobs in the region.
