Did someone say expansion? Faint whispers have turned into a triumphant roar, as Amazon announced it is expanding its Amazon Fresh store format. A couple weeks ago, Amazon opened its newest location in Broomall, Pennsylvania.
The new store is located on Springfield Road and stands at approximately 40,000 square feet. As noted by a recent press release, the new location features a wide assortment of national brands, meat and seafood, and a range of deliciously-prepared foods made fresh in store every day. The product selection will also include local brands like La Colombe, Unique Pretzels, and Troegs Brewery, and Amazon-exclusive brands like Aplenty and Fresh.
While this expansion brings the second Amazon Fresh store to the Pennsylvania market, this will be the first location in the area to include the grocer’s innovative Just Walk Out Shopping technology, which allows customers to skip the checkout line for added convenience.
This service has already become popular in several other key markets that Amazon Fresh serves, as the company implemented this technology through recent expansions in New York and Illinois as well as California and New Jersey.
