Eight restaurants are battling head-to-head to prove who can create the best chicken sandwich through the Artesano® Official Chicken Sandwich Challenge. Hosting the official competition, the bakery brand is proudly highlighting its Artesano Bakery Buns as the Official Bun of the Chicken Sandwich, offering a gourmet at-home dining experience with its Original and Brioche varieties.

The eight restaurants will go against each other in a bracket-style competition, showcasing their unique recipes as they compete for the winning chicken sandwich title along with a $20,000 grand prize.
Artesano Bakery Buns are known for their rich homemade flavor and fluffy, soft texture, which make it the perfect home for a delicious chicken sandwich. As a press release noted, the Artesano Official Chicken Sandwich Challenge tasked restaurants to put their own regional spin on the classic chicken sandwich, blending culinary inspiration with a touch of hometown pride. Bringing the fun to shoppers’ homes, consumers can find each restaurant's step-by-step instructions on the brand's website, making it easy to prepare and enjoy at home.
Now through September 13, fans can head to OfficialChickenSandwichChallenge.com to vote for their favorite chicken sandwich recipe served on Artesano Bakery Buns. The top four finalists will advance to the semi-finals (September 16-20) and the top two will then move on to the finals (September 23-27). The chicken sandwich recipe with the most votes in the finals will be crowned the winner on November 9—National Chicken Sandwich Day!
