Baldor Specialty Foods is raising the bar with a new—you guessed it—bar program that’s introducing selected craft beers and a new line of cocktail ingredients and garnishes to its foodservice customers. Touted as having just about everything mixologists need (besides the liquor), Baldor’s new program features a portfolio of crafted brews and fresh cocktail offerings boasting an array of unique ingredients sure to satisfy the foodie—drinkie? Doesn’t have the same ring to it!—in all consumers.
“Cocktails and craft beers have become an integral part of the dining experience,” said TJ Murphy, CEO. “It only makes sense that Baldor provide its restaurants and foodservice providers partners with a selection of top quality ingredients and beverages for the bar.”
According to a press release, Baldor’s new hand-selected portfolio of craft beers and ciders is only available to restaurants and bar customers in New York state. The portfolio specifically shines a light on independent producers, like Paris’ La Parisienne beer; Albany’s Brown’s Brewing; Queens-based Bridge and Tunnel; and Baldor’s own collaboration line with The Bronx Brewery, the B-Tracks series.
On the cocktail side, Baldor went after the current eclectic cocktail market, curating bitters, tonics, exotic spices, infusion herbs, and purees for its foodservice customers across the country.
“This new program pays special attention to the other side of the restaurant experience: the cocktail bar,” said Lars Dahlhaus, Baldor’s On-Premise Specialist. “Baldor customers will have the convenience of a one-stop shopping for all their cocktail mixing needs, and for New York-based customers, a new portfolio of great-tasting locally produced and imported beers.”
The bar program will begin rolling out now, with tap takeovers, special cocktail events, and more elements coming down the pipeline throughout the year.
