The vegan aisle is really expanding, and retailers can look to add the new Beyond Sausage® to shelves. These sausages are the latest creations from Beyond Meat®, expanding its plant-based meats options from hamburgers to links.
“The new Beyond Sausage is an incredibly delicious and versatile product that is a must-have for your summer gatherings,” said Diana Stavaridis, Senior Culinary Manager. “From classic sausage, peppers, and onions, to the perfect protein-topper for pastas, salads, and more, these juicy sausages grill gorgeously and sear super well thanks to the addition of avocado oil.”
This new offering boasts both nutritional and environmental benefits for consumers, and has been made with an enhanced flavor and meatier texture, a press release explained. The expansion of Beyond’s portfolio with these sausages also brought another first for the company—a cookbook titled Serve Love, cataloging a collection of Beyond Meat recipes certified by the American Heart Association’s Heart-Check program.
"We are thrilled to introduce Beyond Meat's first-ever cookbook certified by the American Heart Association's Heart-Check program. We know that food is an act of love, and serving Beyond Meat to your family is a radical act of love,” said Akerho “AK” Oghoghomeh, Chief Marketing Officer. “Our Serve Love cookbook celebrates this love and makes it easier than ever for consumers to prepare delicious and heart-healthy plant-based recipes. We know that health is a top driver to the plant-based meat category, and we’re proud to deliver on that expectation with a growing portfolio of products that are not only absolutely delicious but that offer significant nutritional benefits.”
The launch of Beyond Sausage kicked off in Love County, Oklahoma, where local families and residents were treated to dishes from the cookbook. More programs and activations will take place throughout the summer, including working with a local food bank.
The new fourth-gen Beyond Sausage Brat Original and Hot Italian-Style flavors are already in stores nationwide, including Kroger, Albertsons, Publix, Whole Foods Market, Sprouts, and more. Retailers can also look ahead to add The Beyond Sausage Mild Italian-Style flavor launching later in the summer season.
