Big Y Foods Expands in Connecticut With New Location; Michael P. D’Amour Details

Big Y Foods continues to expand and deepen its reach, with three new locations joining its footprint before the year is up. The first, the retailer announced, is officially open to the public of Brookfield, Connecticut.

A wide assortment of quality products and specialty items from local partners will be available. These include Lyman Orchards in produce and bakery, Arethusa Farm specialty cheeses, Liuzzi Italian specialties in the deli, Chabaso Bakery artisan breads, and more within the location’s bakery, full-service butcher and seafood department, kitchen, and deli.

With three new locations already planned for this year, Big Y Foods has unveiled its newest store in Brookfield, ConnecticutThe location will also feature a bakery, full-service butcher, and seafood department with six deliveries of fresh, sustainable seafood every week. The kitchen and deli feature Ready to Heat, Eat or Cook Big Y Quick, Easy Meals including, hand-tossed pizza available by the slice or whole pie, freshly made sushi, made to order subs and paninis with Boar’s Head Premium meats and cheeses.

The family market is also bringing 100 part-time and full-time job opportunities to the area.
