Blue Apron’s leadership ring recently gained 25 years of distinguished leadership expertise with the appointment of its newest leader. Bringing experience from across multiple industries, recognized human resources executive and licensed labor and employment attorney Beverly K. Carmichael has been appointed to the company’s Board of Directors.
“Great customer experiences have their roots in great employee experiences, and I am eager to build upon the groundwork that’s already been laid at Blue Apron,” said Carmichael. “I look forward to working closely with the Board and the entire Blue Apron team to help drive critical operational strategies and position the business for the future.”
Carmichael has been appointed to serve as a Class III Director with a term expiring at the 2023 annual meeting of stockholders, according to a press release. She will also serve as a member of the Board’s Compensation Committee and the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.
Carmichael brings multifaceted industry expertise to her new role. Previously, she served as Executive Vice President and Chief People, Culture, and Resource Officer at Red Robin Gourmet Burgers from 2017 through 2019. Prior to that, she held the role of Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store.
“Beverly brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Board in important areas, including leadership development, talent investment, culture, and diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace,” said Linda Findley, President and Chief Executive Officer. “We expect Beverly’s experience to be instrumental as we continue to make strategic investments in our people and our sustainability initiatives, and continue to create a great workplace for all of our employees.”
Since January 2022, Carmichael has served on the Board of Directors of Cotton Patch Cafe, a Texas-based restaurant chain, and recently joined the Board of Directors of Viad Corp, a global experiential services company.
