Boldly Introduces Plant-Based Seafood Line

History favors the bold. We have learned this time and time again, and we are about to get another lesson in this school of thought. A new plant-based seafood brand is hitting the scene, and its name is Boldly. Touting a supreme texture and taste, the supplier is launching its line of new products including calamari, salmon and tuna sashimi, shrimp, crab sticks, and white fish filets.

Environmental equity and sustainability continue to be top of mind for consumers, and issues tied to seafood such as overfishing and health concerns are of increasing importance. With konjac root vegetable as a core ingredient, Boldly is on a mission to accelerate the proliferation of plant-based proteins in foodservice by creating a positive experience centered around community while addressing health and environmental concerns, a press release explained.

Founded by Allen Zelden, who is also Co-Founder of PlantForm, Boldly will launch this summer through restaurant and foodservice partnerships across the country, with the goal of serving flexitarian consumers who are looking to adjust their seafood intake by including plant-based alternatives.
