Brooklyn Cured Develops Merchandising Tools for New Salami Line

BROOKLYN, NY
Thursday, October 1st, 2020

The holidays are officially upon us (Yes, I count Halloween as a holiday.) For retailers stocking up on seasonal charcuterie board products that shoppers will love, Brooklyn Cured recently released a brand-new cocktail-inspired salami line.

Scott Bridi, Founder, Brooklyn Cured“We want to educate customers about these unique salami flavors and get them excited to try them,” said Founder Scott Bridi. “Our salami information cards suggest pairings with cheese and condiments that help drive sales of additional items in the specialty deli department.”

Alongside its new line, the merchandising tools offered by Brooklyn Cured are perfect for driving consumers to the register. These tools include branded display crates and product information cards. For display flexibility, crates are branded on all four sides and can be oriented facing the long side or the short side, according to a press release. The information cards include photos, descriptions, and recommended pairings for each salami. PDF files to print or hard copies of cards will be made available to retailers.

The line features unique flavors that help differentiate at market, including:

  • Pork Salami with Bourbon and Sour Cherries: inspired by a Manhattan cocktail
  • Pork Salami with Belgian Ale and Lemon Zest: inspired by European beer gardens
  • Pork Salami with Rye Whiskey and Orange: inspired by an Old Fashioned cocktail
  • Pork Salami with Mezcal and Lime: inspired by cocktails with the smoky spirit
  • Lamb Salami with Za’atar: inspired by the company’s love of Mediterranean food

The retail salami line is shelf-stable, meaning retailers can merchandise outside of the refrigerated case. These items are vacuum-sealed and then hand-wrapped in butcher paper for an elevated look and feel.
