Further bolstering its reputation for supporting its workforce, Chick-fil-A has announced that it will be investing $24 million in the higher education of its team members. Through this contribution, the foodservice chain will award college scholarships to 12,699 associates in 46 states; Washington, DC; and Canada.
"The Chick-fil-A scholarship initiative has been instrumental in our investment in the growth and success of restaurant Team Members," said Tim Tassopoulos, President and a former Remarkable Futures Scholarship™ recipient. "Our inspiring recipients this year have overcome great obstacles and remain dedicated to pursuing academic and personal success. We recognize their enormous potential and hope to play a small part in furthering their education, providing them with more opportunities to help achieve their goals."
The scholarships provided by Chick-fil-A can be applied to any area of study at any accredited institution, a press release noted. This investment will further the company's commitment to education and help its team members pursue their academic goals and boost their career opportunities.
To help fund these scholarships, 100 percent of Chick-fil-A royalties from the sale of its signature bottled sauces at select retailers nationwide will go toward the Remarkable Futures Scholarship initiative. Since the launch of its bottled sauce in 2020, retail sales have contributed more than $6.4 million to the program and will enable an additional 2,200 scholarships to be awarded this year.
