Chobani released a new line of Greek yogurt that has me jumping for joy. Chobani® Greek Yogurt with Nut Butters combines the wonderful Greek yogurt we all know and love with the decadent flavors of protein-packed nut butters, helping both consumers' digestion and healthy protein intake. Now I feel like I’ve been eating Greek yogurt wrong this whole entire time.
“Our fans love adding nut butters to their Chobani Greek Yogurt and at our Chobani Café®, the combination has consistently been among the best sellers for many years,” said Peter McGuinness, Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer. “This inspired us to create a new platform, perfectly pairing Greek Yogurt with nut butters like almond and hazelnut, to create a food that’s high in protein, has less sugar than other yogurts, and just the right amount of healthy fats to power consumers throughout the day.”
Chobani’s press release stated that the five new flavors will be available this summer for $1.69 per 5.3oz single-serve cup. I’ll splurge a little (or a lot) for the following new combinations:
“It’s incremental innovation that will bring more excitement and consumption to the yogurt category that continues to be under-penetrated in the U.S.,” said McGuinness. Oh boy, am I ever excited. But just in case, Chobani will also be kicking off a creative marketing campaign that will tell the “cow + nut” love story in a humorous tone to showcase to consumers why nut butter and Greek Yogurt are a pair that goes great together.
Now for the unfortunate souls with nut allergies, Chobani is spreading the love all around by releasing three additional new flavors this summer as well:
These cravable flavors are available nationwide in retailers and grocery stores for the masses this summer.
