Finding a gap in the meat market and filling it with flavorful offerings, Crescent Foods is continuing its mission to provide Halal hand-cut meat in markets across the nation. In a recent move, the meat purveyor announced a strategic partnership with H-E-B to roll out several of its chicken, beef, lamb, and breaded frozen products in Texas store locations.
"While innovative retailers like H-E-B have carried Halal meat and poultry products in the past, the integrity of much-sought-after Halal hand-cut raises the bar," said Huthyfah Abed, Executive National Sales Director. "While shopping at H-E-B stores, we are proud to provide the opportunity for Muslim-American guests to complete their shopping experience with freshly stocked Crescent Foods products."
Crescent Foods products are currently available in select Houston, Texas, locations, with the program anticipated to expand quickly throughout the Texas region, as noted in a release.
The company utilizes the "gold standard" of Halal, meaning Halal hand-cut products in which machines and recordings are not used during the harvesting process. Throughout the process, Crescent Foods' own teams ensure animals are handled by trained, qualified professionals who help to minimize discomfort and stress for the animals. Altogether, this upholds the integrity of Halal hand-cut tradition and ensures the products are simple, clean, and pure. The meat purveyor also instills confidence with a third-party Halal verification and certification process.

To celebrate this partnership, shoppers will also find Texas-style appetizers, like chicken quesadillas and faux fried chicken and mac-n-cheese, on the Crescent Foods website just in time for the Super Bowl.
