The plant-based sector continues to see impressive growth as more unique offerings make their way to retail shelves. Strengthening its hold on the sector, Daring has announced it has joined forces with Whole Foods Market to boost the availability of its plant-based chicken offerings. The supplier’s Original Pieces and Original Breaded Pieces are now available for consumers to purchase in select Whole Foods Market locations across the U.S.

Justin Neal, Head of Retail, Daring“Entering such an iconic retailer that is known for its healthy, high-quality products is a major milestone for Daring,” said Justin Neal, Head of Retail at Daring. “Whole Foods Market is the pinnacle of better-for-you products and they have been a huge proponent of the plant-based food category. We're thrilled that Daring will now be available to their loyal customers.”

According to a company release, the innovative plant-based products will be available in 8 oz packages, and are made of all natural, non-GMO ingredients. This expansion shortly follows the company’s $40M Series B funding round in May, during which global entertainer Drake backed the brand.

In addition to its new alliance with Whole Foods Market, Daring has also added over 1,000 retail locations this year, including Kroger, Wegmans, Bristol Farms, and Erewhon. As noted in the release, Daring will continue to add national retailers to its roster in the upcoming months as it works to increase its accessibility through both brick-and-mortar and direct-to-consumer offerings.
