Without the blood, sweat, and dedication of suppliers helping fuel the food industry, growth would be limited for retailers. To honor its supply-side partners, Whole Foods recently revealed the winners of its ninth annual Supplier Awards, and on the list was Wisconsin-based cheesemaker, Emmi Roth. The specialty cheese company was spotlighted in the Supply Chain Support category, and joined the ranks of 42 other companies who helped raise the bar in 2020.
“We are thrilled to accept the Supply Chain Support award from Whole Foods Market on behalf of our entire organization involved in this honor,” said Jodie Wische, Senior Vice President of Specialty Sales. “Our open communication, flexibility, planning, and collaboration across our entire organization during the pandemic has allowed us to react and fulfill the challenging demands that occurred in 2020. I am so proud of our team and culture that have made achieving this award possible!”
Whole Foods’ Supply Chain Support category recognizes suppliers that have found creative solutions to logistical challenges while prioritizing the retailers’ customer demand, according to a press release. Emmi Roth was given this award alongside Rao’s and Applegate Farms.
