Back in April, Deli Market News revealed that Outfox Hospitality banner Foxtrot was abruptly shuttering its store locations. Now, more updates have come to light for the chain, signaling an exciting comeback as several new Foxtrot stores pop up across Chicago, Illinois, and Central Texas.
Foxtrot Co-Founder Mike LaVitola is reportedly leading an effort to bring back some of the banner’s shuttered stores—with more than half in its hometown of Chicago. Eater reported that 15 stores in total will be reopened in Chicago, Illinois, and in Austin and Dallas, Texas.
A news release sent last week confirmed what had up until recently been speculation regarding the retailer's footprint: “Reopened stores will maintain the same layout and merchandising, focusing on small and local makers.”
Reports from My San Antonio state that Foxtrot opened four stores in Austin, Texas, last year, which catered to many students at the University of Texas.
As this strategy continues to take root, Deli Market News will relay the most recent updates. Stick around!
