The Fresh Market’s Wade Yenny Opens Up About Falloween and Seasonal Opportunities

As I count the days down to cooler temperatures, I know the bakery scene is heating up with the season’s hottest trends and flavors. Everything spicy and warm will be filling the shelves and aisles as consumers look to satisfy their cravings, and The Fresh Market is well-tuned to this demand. I spoke with Wade Yenny, Director of Grocery Merchandising of The Fresh Market (TFM), and I couldn’t help picturing a full basket in my future.

There are so many things you can do with pumpkin spice and fall flavors, and we continue to introduce additional fall offerings each year.”

And with excitement spreading around this chilly season, it only goes to show how popular these flavors can be. Consumers count down to the iconic pumpkin spice coffee hitting stores, so placing items such as themed cookies and teas together will immediately draw eyes for those key impulse purchases.

With “Falloween” approaching The Fresh Market stores this fall, shoppers can expect on-trend flavors, releases, and excitement

“We work with many companies to offer fall-themed products. Cross-merchandising items such as our TFM pumpkin spice and fall coffee flavors with our Pumpkin Roll Cake, Mini Scones, and Soft Baked Spice Biscotti allows our shoppers to plan for specific moments to enjoy these treats,” Wade continues. “These sales aren’t just in sweet applications; items such as pasta and salsa make it easy for a wider audience to enjoy savory dishes.”
