Updated urban market concepts are on the rise, and GIANT Food Stores is coming for that piece of the retail pie. The grocer recently announced its new, two-level flagship store in downtown Philadelphia, furthering its commitment to innovation.

The store is tailored to meet the needs of urban shoppers, and designed to reflect a calm and elegant shopping experience. Consumers will have opportunities to park onsite or order online groceries through its GIANT Direct, Powered by Peapod, grocery service. It is set to open by fall of 2020 and will create more than 200 new jobs for the city.
