Safety and quality are high markers and essential for today’s specialty food companies. Ensuring the highest level of operational standards and systems, Maytag Dairy Farms has passed the independent Safe Quality Food Level 3 certification inspection audit with flying colors.
“Food safety is a top priority both for Maytag Dairy as well as many of our customers,” Maytag's CEO Don Boelens, stated. “This certification will help us continue to grow and partner with retailers and high-end purveyors nationwide.”
With excellence top of mind, Maytag Dairy Farms built a firm foundation of crafting artisan blue cheese in their Newton, Iowa, production facility for nearly 80 years, according to a press release.
The certification included extensive review and assessment across nearly every facet of the Newton facility. The independent SQF Certification demonstrates the artisan cheesemaker’s commitment to food safety and continued modernization of its operation model as well.
Congrats, Maytag Dairy Farms, on this recent milestone and we look forward to the grand achievements yet in store!
