McCormick & Company is implementing strategic plans to up the strength of its Board of Directors, and its latest move comes in the form of a new appointment. Chief Growth Officer of Flowers Foods Terry Thomas has been appointed to the company’s Board of Directors, effective January 23, 2024.
The industry leader wields more than 30 years of domestic and global experience in the CPG industry, spanning across all channels and numerous categories, a press release detailed. With expertise in sales and all key commercial functions, the Flowers Foods Chief brings a deep understanding of the retail landscape to McCormick’s board.
Thomas' appointment is part of the board's commitment to its continuous refreshment process, the release continued, ensuring the company has a relevant mix of skills and experiences that complement its strategy and promote effective governance practices.

In his executive role at Flowers Foods, Thomas is responsible for leading and managing growth strategy, product development and innovation, marketing, sales, foodservice, and net revenue management. He is also actively involved with corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and uncovering new revenue streams for the company.
