Seafood is an option I love to indulge in whenever I get the chance, and summer is the perfect time to get in on the action as bakes, steams, and stews drive consumers into stores. So, when I found out that McCormick & Company was releasing a new product to spur more spicy cooking, I got in touch with Jenny Wolock, Product Manager for OLD BAY®, to learn more about its latest OLD BAY Crab House Seasoning Blend.

Jenny Wolock, Product Manager, OLD BAY®, McCormick & Company“Over 80 years ago, Baltimoreans first sampled the zesty flavor of OLD BAY. From that moment on, seafood wasn’t really seafood without it,” Jenny informs me. “OLD BAY is unique in that it’s known as THE seasoning for crab, shrimp, and other seafood dishes.”

McCormick’s latest launch is a new twist on its original OLD BAY flavor but with the addition of coarse salt flakes to better stick onto crab shells and, ultimately, deliver a more authentic “crab house experience.”

“We’ve added this new format to bring that same experience into consumers’ homes, whether it’s through steamed crabs or Bloody Mary’s,” explains Jenny. “The OLD BAY Crab House seasoning is unique in that its larger-grain spices naturally enhance the flavor, getting you the perfect flavorful crab house taste.”

Featuring McCormick’s special edition coarse ground seasoning salt and crafted with OLD BAY’s unique blend of spices, the new product comes in a 12.15 oz bottle and is sold on the company’s site.

Summer is finally here, and shoppers are itching to explore more possibilities and experiences, so stay tuned as Deli Market News reports on the latest.
