With the uptick in demand for grocery and restaurant delivery and takeout, Mike’s Hot Honey is doing what it can to make sure operators—pizzeria operators in particular—have everything they need to satisfy consumers. One way the Brooklyn-based company is achieving this is by recognizing the growing interest in to-go friendly packaging for its signature chili pepper-infused hot honey, which has led Mike’s Hot Honey to launch a new dip cup format.
"Pizzerias are the backbone of our business. When the pandemic hit the U.S., we began outreach to our friends at pizzerias to learn more about what they were experiencing and how we could help," said Mike's Hot Honey Founder, Mike Kurtz. "Nearly everyone we spoke with was seeing an increase in delivery business and a need for honey packaging that fit this model. We developed the dip cups as a way for pizzerias to safely and efficiently deliver our product to their customers while adding incremental revenue to each order."
Mike’s Hot Honey’s chili pepper-infused hot honey is a staple at pizzerias across the country, with its new packaging format another way for the unique company and its latest innovation to stay on top in this sector.
"We recommend drizzling on the pie just before you take a bite. Our new dip cups allow pizzerias to deliver this unique experience to their customers who can now enjoy drizzling in the comfort and safety of their own homes,” added Kurtz.
According to a press release, Mike’s Hot Honey is offering a free case of dip cups to any pizzeria that wants to use them in delivery and take-out orders, while supplies last. Available to pizzerias nationwide, the new dip cup format comes in 1 oz packages and are distributed through Mike’s Hot Honey’s partnership with DOT Foods.
