You might not think of oatmeal as an inherently “stand out” product, but Mylk Labs takes a different approach with its grab & go Oatmeal Cups—and it’s one that immediately catches the eye. Woman and minority-owned, Mylk Labs isn’t just a pretty face: it’s got the packaging punch and the customer loyalty to support it. I had the opportunity to speak with Grace Cheng, Founder and CEO, to learn more about what’s up next for the one-year old company.
“With packaging aesthetics similar to ice cream, Mylk Labs invites its customers to indulge in a guilt-free breakfast or snack,” Grace told me. “At the base, you’ll find chewy, quick-cooking oats blended with roasted ground almonds and custom roasted nuts for a creamy yet crunchy texture in every bite. It’s sweetened with only 5 grams of organic coconut sugar and finished with carefully sourced spices for the ultimate flavor experience."
Launched in January 2018, the company might be only a year old, but its already taking off in local coffee shops across the United States. With flavors such as Roasted Almond & Himalayan Pink Salt, Roasted Hazelnut & Dominican Cacao, and Toasted Coconut & Cassia Cinnamon, it’s little wonder that people have fallen in love with the convenient Oatmeal Cups. Health-conscious consumers will also delight in the product being gluten-free, non-GMO, kosher, and vegan, as well as being free of of fillers, refined sugars, or artificial flavorings.
“One thing we always hear is, ‘We LOVE your branding!’ People are attracted to pretty things, so if we can get customers to pick up our product, the ingredients and nutrition will almost always make the sale,” Grace said.
