If the sun’s out, hot dog buns are out, as consumers are resuming outdoor activities. A major summer staple here in the States is the great BBQ grill, the perfect place to slap on a slab of meat, whether it’s plant-based or the real thing. Alpha Baking’s Natural Ovens Bakery is extending that experience to those that are looking for a cleaner option in the retail space with the rollout of its Natural Ovens Keto-friendly Hot Dog Buns.
“We’ve heard from retailers that Keto sales don’t show signs of slowing down, and customers are looking for keto-friendly options to complement their favorite summer meals, like hot dogs and other grilled favorites,” said Tim Lotesto, Senior Director, National Retail Key Accounts for Alpha Baking. “Natural Ovens Keto-friendly hot dog buns provide carb-conscious consumers with a way to enjoy classic summertime meals without having to worry about net carbs. In short, these buns rise to the carb-conscious and taste challenge.”
According to the release, the new product features only one net carb per serving, providing more fiber than traditional buns and a cleaner ingredient legend. The Keto-friendly hot dog buns feature 26 grams of carbs and 25 grams of fiber per serving and are made without any artificial sweeteners or flavors. With this expansion to its Keto-friendly line, Natural Ovens is making it possible for carb-counters to enjoy even more summertime favorites.
Natural Ovens’ 12 count Keto-friendly Hot Dog Buns are available at select Costco locations, and 8 count packs can be found at select Wisconsin and Chicagoland retailers, including Jewel-Osco, Mariano's, Pick ’N Save, and Woodman's.
