Penny Andino Unwraps Latest Justin’s Products

BOULDER, CO

Whoever stumbled upon the genius creation of peanut butter has unbridled love from many consumers, especially consumers of Justin’s peanut butter cups. I got in touch with fellow fan Penny Andino, Vice President of Marketing, to unwrap Justin’s latest innovation: JUSTIN’S® Super Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups and Super Dark Chocolate Espresso Almond Butter Cups.

Penny Andino, Vice President of Marketing, Justin's“Justin’s is excited to hit Natural Products Expo West to showcase our newest product in the Organic section of the show,” Penny begins. “They are delicious, USDA-certified, organic snacks with 80 percent Rainforest Alliance Certified cacao and 5 g sugar with no artificial sweeteners or sugar alcohols. They are the perfect addition to any entertaining experience, from charcuterie boards to a sweet treat to end the evening with. Shoppers will be delighted to step away from traditional wines and gift their ‘hostess with the mostest’ with our new nut butter cups for some added appreciation.”

Continuing to imagine new possibilities, Justin’s provides health-conscious consumers with a better-for-you swap. In fact, the Sugar Association conducted a research study in 2021 and found that more than 70 percent of consumers say it’s a priority to avoid artificial sweeteners. Already on-brand, Justin’s latest additions align with these key trends, providing a lower-sugar treat made with high-quality ingredients that don’t skimp on the flavor.

Justin’s recently added JUSTIN’S® Super Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups and Super Dark Chocolate Espresso Almond Butter Cups to its wide, better-for-you portfolio

To further meet nutrition goals, the company also offers an extensive line of plant-based snacks and treats, including a multitude of nut butter cups and organic nut butters offering 4–7 grams of protein per serving. The confections are Non-GMO Project Verified, certified Gluten Free, and certified Organic to meet environmental and dietary demands.

“As a well-respected industry pioneer since 2004 and category-leading brand, Justin’s creates delicious, real food products made with high-quality, mindfully-sourced ingredients that contribute to the world in a positive and meaningful way,” continues Penny. “While the brand has evolved over the years, the passion, craft, and care remain. Justin’s is not only dedicated to providing superior products with mindfully-sourced ingredients, but also actively engages in corporate social responsibility efforts, focusing on sustainable packaging and ingredients, pollinator conservation, and hunger relief, all with the aim of making the world a more resilient, well-fed place.”

The company is proud of its long-standing relationship with Conscious Alliance, helping those struggling with food insecurity by providing Justin’s products, employee volunteer time, and monetary support to help underserved communities across the country. In 2021, Justin’s donated $61,000 to support pollinator conservation projects through the Xerces Society, The National Honey Board, and People and Pollinators Action Network. And this dedication to the environment translates into the company’s operations.

“During the spring of 2022, we announced the transition to jars (available in 28 oz and 16 oz) that use 30 percent less plastic for our Nut Butters,” Penny says. “This move to more sustainable packaging aligns with Justin’s core mission—to create real food products that contribute to the world in a positive and meaningful way.”
