Do you hear that? It’s the sizzling sound of summer grilling season, and PS Seasoning is making sure to meet a wide range of consumer demands with its best-selling portfolio. Joining the company’s popular line of BBQ seasonings and sauces, the specialty supplier has launched its new huli-huli-inspired Big Kahuna Pineapple Teriyaki Rub and Sauce, as well as The BBQ General SPG Rub.

Ryan Johnson, Marketing Director, PS Seasoning"Fruit is dominating flavor trends this year," commented Ryan Johnson, the Marketing Director for PS Seasoning, in a press release on the new produce releases. "Pairing fruit with a comfort food like BBQ is a fun and unexpected twist on traditional grilling flavors."

The rub and sauce both feature pineapple, brown sugar, sesame seeds, ginger, and tamari. The Big Kahuna Pineapple Teriyaki Rub, which is available in 6.4 oz and 26.5 oz, features a sweet and tangy blend of brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame, pineapple, and ginger. PS Seasoning’s Big Kahuna Pineapple Teriyaki Grilling Sauce brings sweet and tangy flavor with pineapple, ginger, tamari, and sesame, inspired by the open-fire flavors of Hawaii.

Also joining the newly released pineapple teriyaki line, PS Seasonings has debuted an all-purpose rub of salt, pepper, garlic, and proprietary spices in honor of National BBQ Day, available in 7 oz and 27 oz packaging. This rub has coarser granulation that is perfect for brisket or beef ribs, or chicken and vegetables.

“Everyone wants to make authentic, Texas-style BBQ in their own backyard,” Johnson continued. “Our General SPG rub is based on those simple, yet mouthwatering flavor profiles that are designed to stand up to longer cooks.”

SPG—standing for salt, pepper, and garlic—hits the perfect triangle of flavors shoppers are looking for. I don’t know about you, but these new offerings have me ready to fire up the grill and bring the pineapple teriyaki flavor to my favorite fresh veggies and plant-based products, and something tells me your shoppers will feel the same.
