With the rise of vegan offerings in the cheese case, RIND is tapping into rising consumer demand and expanding its reach. Recently, the cheesemaker announced that it is making its range of items available north of the border in Canada through a partnership with Vegan Supply.
“This expansion marks our first venture outside of the United States and opens up new markets for us in North America and beyond. In addition to making our vegan cheese available to the 38 million people living in Canada, Vegan Supply also ships worldwide, so partnering with them makes it possible for international consumers to order our products,” explains RIND Co-Founder Dina DiCenso. “This is significant, as we are wholesale only and often receive requests for our products from vegans overseas.”
RIND was onboarded with Vegan Supply, one of Canada’s first and largest distributors of vegan products, in late October. The distributor launched the RIND brand in stores and online by offering four varieties of the company’s award-winning French-style aged mini wheels: Bleu, Cambleu, Herbs de Provence, and Paprika.
“As our partnership grows, we plan to add products from our other two lines—cashew cheese vegan spreads and Veggie Underground plant-based slices,” adds Dina. “Besides having the world’s largest vegan e-commerce marketplace, Vegan Supply operates two brick-and-mortar stores in British Columbia located in Vancouver and Surrey. Vegan Supply distributes products to Canada, helping us continue our growth throughout the country.”
Moving forward, RIND will remain focused on the United States and Canada, strengthening its presence in these regions.
“We’re continuing our expansion at Whole Foods Market in the Northeast and are launching at 20 chain stores in California in the next month,” says Dina. “Also, we will receive kosher certification for our aged cheese and spreads within the next few weeks. We look forward to further expansion and making RIND and Veggie Underground cheese available to more consumers in the coming year!”
The future looks bright for RIND, and it can look good for you and your vegan shoppers by joining forces with the supplier.
