Schaller & Weber's Newest Salami Stick Line Sells Out; More to Come With Added Plant-Based Pâté

Who says one has to compromise between convenience, flavor, and health? Offering this trifecta to the meat stick industry is Schaller & Weber’s newly launched line of salami sticks, which sold out within days of its debut.

“So far, we are hearing really good feedback and are already getting re-orders, both with existing customers and new relationships drawn by our entry into the segment,” Jesse Denes, Vice President, shared with me.

With an increasingly expanding brand associated with quality and exploration, it’s little wonder that the launch drew curiosity. The Schaller & Weber team has prided itself on forging carefully selected partnerships that have produced successes such as its Bier Brat No. 3. in collaboration with EBBS brewery; its holiday lineup of truffle-inspired Brats, Fois Gras, and Pâté; an exclusive Lady Edison’s Extra Fancy Country Ham partnership; as well as a number of condiments like traditional currywurst ketchup and Bavarian Sweet and Spicy mustard.

Thus, the specialty company entered partnerships with Mike’s Hot Honey, Hudson Whiskey, and Crown Maple carefully, with success seeming practically inevitable.

“We are very excited not only that we are kicking off an entirely new category with a bang, but that both the brands we are partnering with and buyers are very happy with the results,” Jesse said. “It feels good to be able to do that for those we have teamed up with.”

Coming off such success, it’s impossible not to look forward to what might be next. We won’t have to wait long, luckily, with the company debuting yet another new offering at the International Deli Dairy Bakery Association’s annual expo June 4–6.

“We’ll be debuting a line of shelf-stable, organic, plant-based pâtés. It’s exciting for us because we’ve been crafting pâtés since 1937, and now we’re taking that expertise in a new direction and answer a lot of needs in the market we hadn’t traditionally been able to address. So, we look forward to welcoming this to our portfolio and talking to buyers at the show all about it,” Jesse concluded.

Not only does the supplier continuously have its eye on new segments, but also new channels—wishing to bring healthier, more flavorful alternatives to offerings seen in all grab-and-go locations in grocery and beyond.
