Drumroll, please! After evaluation from prominent judges, the Specialty Food Association (SFA) has announced the winners of its 50th Annual sofi™ Awards.
“For 50 years, the sofi Awards have been recognizing the best of the best in the specialty food industry,” said Laura Lozada, Vice President, Membership for Specialty Food Association “Our members are the foundation of our industry, and we are proud to honor their innovation, growth, and creativity.”
Open only to product-qualified members of the SFA, this year’s sofi Awards were judged at the Food Innovation Center at Rutgers University (FIC), the organization’s partner for the awards, a press release noted. FIC experts used anonymous tastings to evaluate products across 47 categories using criteria including flavor, appearance, texture, aroma, ingredient quality, and innovation.
After judging occurred, the SFA announced that 102 specialty food products were awarded Gold and New Product trophies. To see the full list of winners, click here.
