Subway Partners With Beyond Meat, Introduces Beyond Meatball™ Marinara

The classic Subway® Marinara sub is one my friends and I would chow down on when we were in high school, semi-gloating over its glory to our vegetarian friends. In hindsight, this move was a little bit less than cool, but those vegetarian friends of mine now have their own reason to gloat. Subway recently partnered with Beyond Meat® to bring into being the Beyond Meatball™ Marinara sub.

For a limited time only, the fast casual chain will test the sandwich in 685 participating restaurants in Canada and the U.S. According to a press release, the sub is coated in Marinara sauce, Provolone cheese, then sprinkled with grated parmesan cheese and toasted to gooey perfection. It offers the same taste as the traditional, just made with the Beyond Meatball!
