Anytime I’m going on a long drive or hiking for an extended period of time, I always like bringing snacks with me to keep the hangriness at bay. I’m already preoccupied with staying alive, so I don’t want to work too hard on fueling my body with more work. T.O.P. Chops Jerky knew just what I wanted with its new thin-sliced jerky, so I can get on without gnawing like a dog on a bone.
"T.O.P. Chops changes the standard by only using USDA Graded Select or better beef that's sourced from steers raised in the U.S.," said Dusty Jaquins, Co-Founder of T.O.P. Chops. According to the press release, the jerky is made using American beef from steers, as opposed to dairy cattle, creating a more tender and authentic beef flavor.
Using an old family recipe and a Veri-Thin™ slicing process, Jaquins transformed an at-home hobby with no additives or preservatives to a thriving, national snack brand that’s “better-for-you.” Along with partner Luke Sellers, the two discovered the use of a new ingredient called plum powder, creating a product packed with antioxidants that reduces the need for addition sugar and sodium. Food science for the win!
From Original, Teriyaki, Sweet & Spicy, and Red Chili Pepper, these flavors are sure to grab everyone’s fancy in the new generation. According to the source, consumption is up 18 percent, and 92 percent of millennials choose jerky to snack on.
Hitting shelves like Costco and Target this August and other large grocery chains in September and October of this year, will the company rise to the T.O.P.? Deli Market News (and I) can't wait to find out.
