A new leader has joined the Verde Farms team as Nick Meriggioli, CEO of Johnsonville has been appointed to the company’s Board of Directors. With his wide breadth of expertise and leadership abilities, Meriggoli will boost the already impressive lineup of Board members, joining Verde Founder and CEO Dana Ehrlich, Co-Founder Pablo Garbarino, and Manna Tree Partners' Co-Founder and COO Brent Drever in the company's mission to boost brand strategy and continue new growth.

Meriggioli has served as the CEO of Johnsonville since 2015, before that working at Kraft Food for over 20 years in a variety of executive and marketing roles, according to a press release. During his time at Kraft he led the Oscar Meyer business unit which includes popular brands like Lunchables, Claussen Pickles, and Boca Meat Alternatives.
"In addition to Nick's CPG expertise and career successes, he was known to foster a people-first culture in his leadership roles, a focus that aligns well with our brand approach," added Ehrlich. The appointment of Merriggioli comes alongside Verde’s announcement of tremendous growth and investment in 2020.
