Learning how to walk is no easy process. In fact, I’m going to assume it took most of us years to master the art of walking—and even now the ground has the tendency to jump out from under us! WeStock, on the other hand, is showcasing just how skilled, competent, and agile those working in our industry are. Despite only having launched in January of this year, the data solutions company is already sprinting full speed ahead, with partnerships and app updates rolling out now and more big plans in the works that Co-Founder Cameron McCarthy could only mysteriously allude to.

Cameron McCarthy, Co-Founder, WeStock“Utz is launching on our platform with their family of brands this month. In honor of this new partnership, we have a large marketing campaign, in coordination with Utz, that we think will significantly increase our user base, which will be helpful to all of our brand partners,” Cameron explained to me."

While WeStock’s sweet spot is brands that are circling around 1,000 to 2,000 stores and looking to grow in more markets, the company’s goal is to grow, and its partnership with Utz will only help accelerate this process.

Another strategy WeStock has implemented to hit its growth goal is keeping its app up to date with its users’ feedback.

“We’re also launching a 2.0 version of our app this month. Now, our customers can select a specific store in their immediate area and view and request products in that location. We think this will give more usability to the end user in new and exciting ways,” Cameron said. “We want to continuously have an influx of new brands for our users to discover, which is also why we transitioned to a freemium model. Now it is free for brands to join our platform. We’re hoping this model will create less friction as we attract and add new brands.”

And, as more brands join, Cameron disclosed that he hopes WeStock will also support a buy-side presence, with retailers and more joining the platform—a lofty goal that I’m sure WeStock will hit sooner than we can anticipate.

As WeStock continues forward at an unmatchable pace, Deli Market News will report on all milestones the company is hurtling past, so stay tuned!
