Alexian Pate has been one of our favorite booths to visit at the Winter Fancy Food Show (WFFS) for many years now, and this week’s event is no different. We are especially excited for the company’s showcase this year, as attendees of the WFFS will be the first to see its all-new look for the brand.
“We needed a refresh and a rejuvenation!” Alexandra Groezinger, President, told me. “Alexian’s goal is to be more appealing to the broader audience of consumers who purchase pate. The demographic has shifted in the last few years, largely in part to the charcuterie board craze, trendy content on TikTok, and of course, from the early days of Covid when restaurants were closed and consumers became more adventurous eaters at home. The audience is younger and more adventurous, and from many different socioeconomic backgrounds.”
Alexian is known best for its all natural, simple, and wholesome ingredients. Made with nothing artificial, all of the ingredients the company uses can be found in a home refrigerator or pantry, and the new packaging reflects that. The flavor cues feature fresh vegetables, spices, and fresh herbs, giving the packaging mouthwatering appeal that evokes a sense of freshness and simplicity.
“The product line features four warm complementary colors, each representing a different product category: mousses, country-style pates, vegetable pates, and vegan pates. The vertical color stripe draws the eye to our clear product window, where the consumer can get up close and personal with what they are purchasing. ” Alexandra went on. “With a product like pate, that is important! We felt the color scheme will also help the consumer more easily and quickly identify their favorite flavor on the shelf.”
Rest assured, Alexian’s recipes and flavors still have the same great taste, but with an upgraded look. The new look is confident and eye-catching and is sure to stand out in the cheese and deli case.
“Our logo has also been refreshed for a more approachable and inviting feel, while keeping the font in the same family for continuity,” Alexandra stated. “We also pay homage to our founding roots in our logo, with the year my parents established the company. We are proud to say that we’ve been doing this for over 40 years!”
All of Alexian’s pates are made in-house in its facility in New Jersey. In addition to being all natural, the ingredients are also free from added hormones and antibiotics and sourced from farms and ranches which practice humane raising practices. The company is also certified Women Owned.
Alexian expects the new packaging to go into distribution sometime during the spring. Visit booth #1018 and the Diversity Spotlight Showcase to see the new look in person at the WFFS.
I’ll meet you at the booth?
