Strong leadership is a key component to the success of any organization, especially in the rapidly evolving dairy industry. Fortifying its initiatives, American Dairy Association North East (ADANE) has appointed a new Chief Executive Officer. John Chrisman will step in to oversee the organization, which represents a total of 9,000 Northeast dairy farmers. In this role, Chrisman will help to fulfill the association’s mission of promoting dairy, serving as its key liaison with industry and government leaders in the sector.

John Chrisman, Chief Executive Officer, American Dairy Association North East"There are no better or harder working people than the dairy farmers who I will represent. I am both honored and privileged to have been chosen and trusted to lead the organization on their behalf," commented Chrisman on his latest appointment after more than 20 years with the dairy association.

Chrisman held senior leadership positions in retail marketing, producer relations, school marketing, processor relations, and hunger relief, a press release explained. He also holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Robert Morris University, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Chrisman kicked off his dairy promotion career in 2001 with the American Dairy Association Mideast in Ohio, and continued his career with the Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association and the Pennsylvania Dairy Promotion Program based in Philadelphia. In 2016, these two groups merged with the American Dairy Association and Dairy Council in Syracuse, New York, to become ADANE.

Chrisman will start in his new position as Chief Executive Officer of ADANE on June 2, 2022, succeeding Rick Naczi, who is retiring after 32 years of leading the dairy checkoff promotion group.

Audrey Donahoe, Board President, American Dairy Association North East"With more than two decades of experience leading multiple departments in dairy promotion, John is perfectly suited for this new challenge," commented ADANE Board President Audrey Donahoe.
